Continuing education

Our continuing education courses enable (prospective) educators and teachers to refresh and deepen their knowledge on selected topics and introduce them to the educational programmes and methods of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar.

Individual advanced training courses

We offer advanced training courses and in-depth seminars to groups at no charge. The thematic components of our programme range from Weimar Classicism to the Bauhaus to “Images of Mankind”. Our experts provide practice-relevant, interdisciplinary insights into a variety of fascinating subjects.

We also offer training seminars to language instructors and students majoring in German as a Foreign Language (DaF). These seminars introduce (prospective) DaF instructors to new approaches to teaching German culture and language at historical sites and museums.

Ossmannstedt Study Days

The Ossmannstedt Study Days are weekend seminars for teachers which take place six times a year. The continuing education programmes focus on literature and literary education and are organised in cooperation with the Weimar-Jena Academy. Because external experts are invited to speak, the participants are required to pay a nominal fee to offset the expenses. The participation fee includes the cost of a two-night accommodation with half-board at the Education Centre at the Wieland Estate in Ossmannstedt. More information
