This project ventured into unknown territory in various respects. It was project which saw very divergent pedagogical approaches collide when the cultures interactive e.V. team collaborated with the experts at the Klassik Stiftung Weimar. This is also where the subject matter of so-called ›high culture‹ came into direct contact with subcultural forms of artistic expression. In January 2010, the jointly developed workshop units were tested for the first time on 22 young people from Berlin in a five-day programme. Subcultural techniques, such as graffiti and rap, were used by the students to express their personal view of specific aspects of Weimar Classicism in a practical way. At the end of the programme, the young participants presented their results, enabling them to use their skills in an entirely different context.

KlassikClubCultures was a joint project between the Klassik Stiftung Weimar, cultures interactive e.V. and the European Centre of Youth Education and Encounter in Weimar.
