Weimarpedia is an educational short term project where pupils from grades 8 to 13 can acquire knowledge and present it on a website designed by pupils for pupils as guests of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar.
Once the pupils have arrived in Weimar, they start exploring historical sites as part of the tasks provided. The results of their research are stored on the weimarpedia.de website. Along with their research activities, the pupils make creative products such as collages, audio plays and cartoons which are also displayed on the internet platform.
The guided tours are held in German.
The project is sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Education and Culture and the Thuringian Ministry of Science, Education and Culture and is accomplished in cooperation with the Bauhaus University.
