Rococo Hall

Study Centre

The building is largely accessible for the disabled and has 193 workplaces on several floors. Once they have registered, readers are allowed admission into all the reading areas, with free access to more than 700 current journals and 100,000 volumes of recent research literature focusing largely on humanities and cultural subjects including editions of the classics. The Mediathek on the ground floor houses materials other than books, e.g. CDs, DVDs, audio cassettes and microfiche collections. These are made available by placing a request at the information desk.

For registration, readers are required to pay a non-refundable fee of 10 euros to cover expenses and to obtain a library card (THOSKA chip card). Readers are also welcome to register using THOSKA chip cards acquired at other academic institutions in Thuringia, e.g. the Bauhaus University, the Weimar conservatoire and the University of Jena.
