Grants

The Klassik Stiftung Weimar awards grants to promote scientific projects focusing on European cultural history from early modern times to the present day and making use of the collections available in Weimar.

Professional training programmes

The Klassik Stiftung Weimar offers diverse programmes for junior researchers in cooperation with several university institutes.

The Kolleg Friedrich Nietzsche is a free place for philosophical discussion and scientific reflection on modern living. 

Provenance research

Since 2010 the Klassik Stiftung Weimar has been systematically investigating its holdings and numerous collections in chronological order in search of cultural assets seized through Nazi persecution (Nazi-confiscated property).

Research Centre for European Classicism

The Research Centre for European Classicism focuses on an interdisciplinary approach to the phenomenon of "Classicism". 

Projects of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar are funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Free State of Thuringia, represented by the State Chancellery of Thuringia, Department of Culture and the Arts.
