Three institutions of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar – the Herzogin Anna Amalia Bibliothek (HAAB), the Goethe- und Schiller-Archiv (GSA) and the museums – are responsible for preserving numerous items in various collections and collection areas. These include the military library collection, holdings related to Johann Wolfgang Goethe’s colour theory and the written estate of the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche.
The collection database allows users to search alphabetically or thematically for specific complexes in the holdings of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar. The results present collections of various art genres, era-specific collections and personal estates.
