Visitors in the Goethe Residence

The media library offers an overview of the audio guides of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar. These materials are free of charge and can be downloaded at any time.

Audio guides

Audio guides are available in many museums and historical sites of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar. They vividly present the various objects, former residents and cultural-historical contexts in the museums. The individual tours are interconnected and allow you to explore Weimar’s rich heritage according to your personal interests. The cost of borrowing an audio guide is included in the price of admission.

Accompanying materials – Out and about with the audio guide

If you are planning a field trip with your class, we can provide accompanying materials with questions that your students can answer during a tour of our museums and evaluate together in a follow-up discussion. Click here to download the corresponding materials and instructions on how to evaluate them.

Tour in sign language

For visitors of the Goethe National Museum, we offer a tour in sign language. The video tour is about one hour long and leads visitors through the Goethe Residence and the exhibition “Flood of Life – Storm of Deeds”. The device can be borrowed at the museum. You can also download the video on this page.
