Filming permit application

Permission is required to film or take photos in the parks, historical residences and museums of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar.

You can apply for a permit by completing and submitting the corresponding form. If you have any questions, our Press Office would be happy to assist you. We ask you to contact the Press Office at least a week in advance to ensure that all necessary agreements and scheduling details are arranged to your satisfaction.

Fee Scale for film and photo shoots

1. The following fees per hour or part thereof are basically charged for commercial shoots:

For commercial shoots lasting 4 hours or longer, a half-day flat rate of 400.00 € for interior shoots and 200.00 € for exterior shoots may be charged; from 8 hours or more, a day rate of 800.00 € for interior shoots and 400.00 € for exterior shoots is available.

2. Film authorisations issued for the purpose of cultural reporting (cultural documentation) are subject to a fee of 60 € per hour or part thereof.

3. Film and TV recordings are free if made for current news reporting on the day’s events.

4. Should the film and/or television footage especially serve the interest of Klassik Stiftung Weimar, the head of communication, public relations, marketing department, in agreement with the representative for budgetary matters, can reduce or even waive the fee entirely.

5. An additional fee of 34.00 € per hour or part thereof will be charged for supervision of the shoots by Klassik Stiftung Weimar personnel or officers.

6. Pictures of collection items, archived items etc. and/or stock photos of interiors can be obtained from Klassik Stiftung Weimar’s Fotothek or Goethe- and Schiller Archive for a fee.

7. Special arrangements must be made for video productions, the use of film recordings on CD-ROM, DVD and similar technical media and for other forms of commercial use. Corresponding decisions are made by the head of communication, public relations, marketing department in agreement with the budget officer.
