Projects of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar are funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Free State of Thuringia, represented by the State Chancellery of Thuringia, Department of Culture and the Arts.
Curators of the Goethe National Museum are currently preparing a new exhibition entitled “Adventures in Reason. Goethe and the Natural Sciences around 1800”, which will open at the Schiller Museum on 28 August 2019.
The research project “Parerga and Paratexts” has recently released several publications and short films, including two conference volumes. In 2019 and 2020, researchers plan to publish four monographs containing the results of the subprojects. In collaboration with the agency whitebox, the project has produced four short films highlighting various project themes.

In 2018 the Directorate of Museums successfully launched the research project “Connoisseurship Today. The Scientific Study of Dutch Illustrations at the Klassik Stiftung Weimar”. The project is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and is coordinated in cooperation with the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM).
