Genius Loci Weimar 2025

An event by the Genius Loci Weimar

Faust - Light and shadow

Under the motto “Faust - Light and Shadow”, the 12th edition of the Genius Loci Festival invites you to three nights full of projections, installations and performances. The City Palace and the Bastille will become the setting for impressive light art that interweaves Goethe's “Faust” with the real history of the location.

Theater performances, light installations, a DJ and VJ area with dance floor as well as a gastronomic offer (6:00 PM–12:00 AM) accompany the festival.

The video works from this year's video mapping competition will be shown in the Co-Lab, reflecting the diversity of artistic approaches to the theme of “Faust”.
