Kochberg garden pleasure

Classical Garden Festival

With an extensive programme, tours and a wide range of offers at the stands.

To mark the opening of the Kochberg Garden Festival, a festive church service will take place at 11 a.m. in the old patron saint's church of St Michael.

At the stands in the castle courtyard and on the theatre square, visitors can expect garden plants, flowers, historic geraniums, herbs, garden accessories and decorations, scented essences and soaps, natural cosmetics, straw hats, baskets, toys, natural and wooden goods, jewellery, delicatessen, preserves, honey, wine, bread, coffee and cake, May punch, snacks and ice cream from the organic farm

11 am - Go out of my heart and seek joy
Festive service at the opening in the old patron saint's church St. Michael im Dorf

5 pm - Im Schatten des Großvaters (€30)

Conversation concert with works by Walther von Goethe
Ulf Bästlein, singing and reading

12-6 pm - Visits

12-3 pm: Visit to the unique private theatre from the 18th century Century

12 - 6 pm: Museum visit to the castle of Goethe's love Charlotte von Stein

12 - 6 pm: Visit to the richly decorated former patron saint's church of St. Michael in the village

1 - 3 - 5 pm: Guided tour - Where Goethe visited his love Charlotte von Stein - (90 min) with Kochberg Castle, castle park and a flying visit to the Liebhabertheater (if possible)

Parking is available on the meadow between the riding arena and castle park and in the municipal car park (please note: charges apply!) at the entrance to the village coming from Neusitz (Lausnitzweg 2).
