Starting at the end of March 2019, you can book day tickets through our online ticket shop for individual admission to the museums of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar and the Herzogin Anna Amalia Bibliothek (with audio guide).
If you are planning to come as a group (10 or more participants), please register in advance with our Visitor Information office. Tickets can also be purchased on the day of your visit at the ticket counters of the respective museums. Please note that only a limited number of tickets are available for visits to the Herzogin Anna Amalia Bibliothek (approx. 70 tickets per day) and can be purchased at the ticket counter starting at 9 am.
In the 2019 commemorative year, you can obtain the BauhausCard with admission to Bauhaus Museum Weimar. The card entitles the holder to free admission to our museums of modernism and many other tourist attractions in Thuringia.
The BauhausCard is available at the Bauhaus Museum Weimar and the Neues Museum Weimar starting on 6 April 2019. Upon visiting one of the two exhibitions, the card becomes activated and remains valid until the following day. The cost of the BauhausCard (€ 11) is equivalent to the regular admission price for adults at the new Bauhaus Museum Weimar.

Discover Weimar in 48 hours! For just € 32.50 the weimar card opens the doors to practically every museum and exhibition in Weimar. You can also participate in walking tours offered by the Tourist Information Office and use the city buses at no charge. The weimar card can be purchased at all museum ticket counters, the museum shops and at the Tourist Information Office in Weimar.
The weimar card entitles you to free admission to the Bauhaus Museum Weimar, Neues Museum Weimar, Haus am Horn, Ducal Vault, Goethe Gartenhaus, Goethe National Museum (Goethe Residence and the exhibition “Flood of Life – Storm of Deeds”), Haus Hohe Pappeln, Liszt House, Nietzsche-Archiv, Park Cave in the Park on the Ilm, Roman House, Schiller Residence, Belvedere Castle, Kochberg Castle, Tiefurt Mansion, Wieland Estate in Ossmannstedt and the Wittumspalais.
Please note that the 48-hour validity period begins as soon as you are issued your first ticket, regardless of whether you enter the museum at a later time. For more information on the prices, terms and conditions of the weimar card, please visit the website of the city of Weimar.
With our annual ticket, you are granted free admission to all the museums, exhibitions, special exhibitions, public tours and museum talks of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar for an entire year. The annual ticket is non-transferable and is valid for 12 months starting after its first use.

Please note: In order to preserve the substance of our historical sites, we impose a daily limit on the number of visitors allowed to enter. Although we usually grant admission in most cases, we cannot always guarantee it.
* Reduced rates for pupils: In addition to discounted annual tickets for individual pupils, schools can receive a reduced rate on annual tickets for entire classes. These entitle school classes to visit the museums and historical sites with advance notice for 12 months. These tickets are transferable to other classes within the same school but may not be transferred to groups outside the school.
The ThüringenCard is valid for use in all museums of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar, excluding the Herzogin Anna Amalia Bibliothek, special exhibitions and the Goethe Residence. The ThüringenCard is available at all museum ticket counters.

The discount for pupils applies to students between the ages of 16 and 20 years (11th – 13th grade /in university-preparatory or vocational secondary schools). Does not apply to other academic paths.
Schools can purchase annual tickets for entire classes at the discounted rate of 19 euros per pupil. These tickets provide free admission to class groups (with advance notice) to all museums and historical sites for 12 months. The tickets are transferable to other classes within the same school but may not be transferred to groups outside the school.
Annual tickets for individual pupils are available at the Klassik Stiftung Weimar info stand at the Tourist Information Office in Weimar. The annual ticket does not guarantee admission to the Goethe Residence or the Herzogin Anna Amalia Bibliothek. We recommend registering in advance (at no charge) before visiting the Herzogin Anna Amalia Bibliothek.
Holders of the Weimar-Pass can gain admission to all museums, exhibitions, special exhibitions, public tours and selected events for the price of just 1 euro.
