Projects of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar are funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Free State of Thuringia, represented by the State Chancellery of Thuringia, Department of Culture and the Arts.
The Klassik Stiftung Weimar is a non-profit public law foundation with legal capacity. It is managed and legally represented by the foundation’s president. The highest decision-making body is the Foundation Board. It is responsible for formulating the fundamental goals of the foundation and deciding on matters of significance, provided these have not been delegated to the president in accordance with the foundation’s statutes. The Scientific Advisory Board supports the work of the president and the constituent departments and serves an advisory function to the Foundation Board.

The Klassik Stiftung Weimar currently employs 427 people. (As of December 31, 2023). In 2023, the Klassik Stiftung Weimar enabled volunteers and trainees to receive basic or further qualifications. The Klassik Foundation provides training in the professional fields of clerk for office management, IT system electronics technician, bookbinder for one-off and special production, and gardener for ornamental plant cultivation.
