Projects of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar are funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Free State of Thuringia, represented by the State Chancellery of Thuringia, Department of Culture and the Arts.
The tasks, obligations, rights and areas of responsibility of the Representative for the Severely Disabled (RSD) are specified for the most part in the Social Security Code IX (SGB IX). The code provides the legal framework guaranteeing that disabled individuals can participate in working life. To create these framework conditions, several devoted colleagues work together with the Representative for the Severely Disabled to ensure that physically or mentally impaired individuals can perform their jobs adequately at the workplace.
The RSD is responsible for representing the interests of severely disabled employees and ensuring that they are fully integrated at the workplace. The RSD monitors compliance with the laws, regulations, directives, collective and service agreements which benefit severely disabled employees and ensures that the employer’s obligations (§§ 154, 155 and 164 – 167 SGB IX) are duly implemented and observed. The RSD submits requests to the management to take measures which serve the interests of severely disabled employees. The RSD fields questions, concerns and complaints from severely disabled employees, and if a specific complaint is deemed justified, arranges a meeting with the employer to resolve the matter. As part of its company integration management (BEM), the RSD advises all colleagues of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar. It also provides support to those applying for severe disability status or recognition of equal treatment.
