Projects of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar are funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Free State of Thuringia, represented by the State Chancellery of Thuringia, Department of Culture and the Arts.
The Youth and Trainee Representative of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar aims to advance the interests of young people and professional trainees and strives to create optimal working and learning conditions within the organisation.
The general tasks of the Youth and Trainee Representative (YTR) are stipulated in § 70 BetrVG and § 61 BPersVG (analogous to LPersVG). These provisions specify the tasks and responsibilities of the Youth and Trainee Representative.
The YTR submits requests to the Works and/or Staff Council to implement measures which serve the interests of young persons and professional trainees. The YTR monitors compliance with the legal and contractual provisions which benefit young people and trainees. These include such laws as the Vocational Education and Training Act (BBiG), directives, regulations preventing injury on the job, collective agreements, and bargaining and service agreements.
Young people and trainees can also forward their questions and concerns to the YTR during their employment and/or training period. The YTR is required to hear these concerns and assess whether they are justified. If the YTR comes to the conclusion that a complaint is justified, he/she must consult with the Works and/or Staff Council to find a resolution to the problem. The YTR should then regularly inform the affected young person or professional trainee about the progress of their case.
