German Foundation for Monument Protection

The German Foundation for Monument Protection is the largest private initiative nationwide and independently for the preservation of monuments in Germany, especially for the preservation of threatened architectural monuments. After the fire in the Duchess Anna Amalia Library, the DSD supported the restoration of the building. In 2019, she granted funding for the restoration of the fire-damaged books.

 

Projects of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar are funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Free State of Thuringia, represented by the State Chancellery of Thuringia, Department of Culture and the Arts.
