Take your group on an expedition to discover the park and city and our many museums – and that at your own pace. Our support materials make it possible!

Explorer rucksacks

Embark on a tour of discovery with our rucksacks. On these ca. two-hour thematic tours, short texts in an accompanying booklet vividly present the historical background of selected sites in town and in the parks. Inside each rucksack are thought-provoking materials, challenges and stories which will spark the children’s creativity.

Weimar+ app: Bauhaus Museum and Museum Neues Weimar

Little Bauhäusler accompany young visitors through the Bauhaus Museum, while Henry van de Velde’s daughter takes them through the Museum Neues Weimar. The media guide is available as an app and can be downloaded prior to your visit.

Save the Park! – The Weimar+ app game

“Save the Park!” allows children to discover the Park on the Ilm in a playful way. They are presented with riddles to solve at various locations in the park. Short audio features provide background and historical facts about these locations. And all the while, players have to constantly combat demons trying to rob the plants of their energy!

The game in the Weimar+ app (in the “Park on the Ilm” section) is suitable for children 10 years and older. To play the game, children need a smartphone or tablet. Be sure to download the game prior to your visit to the park.

Projects of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar are funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Free State of Thuringia, represented by the State Chancellery of Thuringia, Department of Culture and the Arts.
