We are working on making our licenced online resources – newspapers and journals, e-books and databases – available for use outside the Klassik Stiftung network. Using the HAN authentication service, you can log in with your library account and gain access to many electronic resources.

You can search the library catalogue for electronic journals and e-books by selecting the type of material you require, or use the following, constantly expanding offers:

Digital newspapers

Read your newspaper digitally! We offer you access to major regional, national and international newspapers from the comfort of your own home.

You will need your user ID and password for access. Our online tutorials offer additional tips for your research.

Frankfurter-Allgemeine-Archiv: das Bibliotheksportal.
Complete archive with full texts from Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (from 1949), Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung (from 1990), FAZ-Net (from 1999) and Frankfurter Allgemeine Magazin (from 1996), among others.

Süddeutsche Zeitung Archiv (SZ LibraryNet).
All regional pages, SZ Magazin (from 1999) and SZ special editions.

WISO Wirtschaftspraxis.
Articles from over 300 daily and weekly newspapers, information on people from business and society as well as on companies and market data. You can find an introductory video on the database here.

Online databases, articles and journals

We offer you access to many electronic databases that give you direct access to full texts of scientific articles, e-books, newspapers and documents.

To access databases that are not freely accessible, you will need your user ID and password.

The databases are listed both in the database information system (DBIS) and in our online catalogue. From the description of the individual database, a link will take you directly to the respective resource.

The Electronic Journals Library (EZB) lists the electronic journals licensed or freely accessible by the Herzogin Anna Amalia Bibliothek.

MLA International Bibliography with Full Text. The most important bibliography on literature and linguistics of all modern philologies. More than 1,000 journals in full text.

Goethe's works (Weimar edition). Literary and scientific works, diaries, letters.

German literature of the 18th century online. First editions and editions of works from the early to the late Enlightenment period.

Digital Library of German Classics on the WWW. Texts from the early Middle Ages to the 19th century.

Bibliography of German Linguistics and Literature (BDSL-online). Secondary literature on German literary studies since 1985
