Fees for Filming and Photography

  1. The following fees apply per hour or part thereof for commercial film permits:
    - €200 for filming in interiors
    - €100 for filming in gardens and parks
    For longer periods, the following flat rates apply:
    - Half-day rates of €800 for interior filming and €400 for outdoor filming
    - Whole-day rates of €1,600 for interior filming and €800 for outdoor filming
  2. For filming activity fulfilling a cultural documentary function, the fee for interior filming is €60 per hour or part thereof.
  3. Filming for current affairs reporting is free of charge.
  4. If the film or television project is in the interest of Klassik Stiftung Weimar, the head of the Communications, Public Relations, and Marketing Department may decide, in consultation with the budget officer, to reduce the fee or waive it altogether.
  5. An additional fee of €39 per hour or part thereof will be charged for the supervision of filming by persons employed or commissioned by Klassik Stiftung Weimar.
  6. Images of collection objects and archival materials and/or still photos of interiors can be acquired for a fee from the foundation’s Fotothek or from the Goethe and Schiller Archive.
  7. Video productions, the distribution of films on CD-ROM, DVD, and similar media, or other forms of commercial use require separate agreements. Decisions shall be made by the head of the Communications, Public Relations and Marketing Department in consultation with the budget officer.
  8. Additional fees will apply if additional outdoor areas or interior spaces are required for the filming activity.
