About our foundation

Our foundation includes over 20

  • museums.
  • castles.
  • parks and gardens.

 

Many of these places are in Weimar.

And some are in other cities in Thuringia.

Our museums show different exhibitions.

In the exhibitions you learn a lot about famous artists.

And about sovereigns,

who used to live in Weimar and in the surrounding area.

You can also go for a walk in our gardens and parks.

 

In our museums you can find a lot of old letters.

The letters were written by the artists.

We also have a big library.

There are many old and new books inside the library.

The library is called the Herzogin Anna Amalia Bibliothek.

Bibliothek is library in English.
