To mark Goethe's 276th birthday, DIE KULTURTECHNIKER take up the literary template of ‘Urfaust’ in a modern form with electronic beats in Faustus' Loops & Words.
The scenic montage of selected text fragments transforms Goethe's legendary material into an entertaining and sensual dialogue between Faust and Gretchen.
With their groovy soundscape, DIE KULTURTECHNIKER create a concert performance that combines urban lounge vibes, scenic recitation and dazzling ambient sounds.
The official premiere of the production will take place on Goethe's birthday on 28 August 2025 at 1 p.m. on Weimar's Frauenplan in front of the Goethe House.
DIE KULTURTECHNIKER – Martin M. Hahnemann and Ralf Werner – have been setting world literature to music with various guest artists since 1995.
