During your visit, we kindly ask you to observe the following rules:
1. The Park Cave staff is authorised to check admission tickets, special permits, documents substantiating eligibility for reduced prices, and enforce compliance with the visitor rules. We kindly ask you to follow their instructions.
2. Group tours of max. 10 persons through the historic tunnel system are only possible by prior arrangement and in the company of an authorised guide. Children must be at least four years of age to participate in guided tours. Regular group tours for individual visitors (min. 4 persons) are offered at the top of every hour. The last tour normally begins one hour before closing time. All visitors including children and adolescents are required to wear protective helmets. Visitors are asked to keep to the “main paths” in the tunnel system and are strictly forbidden to stray from them. It is possible to visit the museum area only. Special rules apply to organised events.
3. Visitors are not permitted to bring large or bulky objects into the Park Cave. We kindly ask you to use the available lockers located in the entrance area to store your personal items. Due to space constraints, it is not permitted to use prams, wheelchairs and/or walkers inside the Park Cave. The use of walking aids (canes, crutches etc.) is possible to only a limited extent. Pets are not allowed inside the Park Cave except for assistance dogs (companion dogs, seeing-eye dogs etc.). We recommend wearing sturdy footwear as the tunnel paths can be slippery.
4 . We ask you to behave responsibly while inside the Park Cave and act courteously toward other visitors. Loosening or removing rocks and sediment from the historic tunnel system is strictly forbidden, as is consuming food or beverages.
5. Smoking and the use of open flame are strictly prohibited.
6. Children under 12 may only visit the Park Cave in the company of an adult.
7. Only authorised staff of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar or trained persons who have been granted permission to serve as tour guides are allowed to conduct tours through the Park Cave.
