    Rebecca Horn installation - A concert for Buchenwald

    The spatial installation "Concert for Buchenwald" by artist Rebecca Horn has been on display in a historic streetcar depot in the disused E-Werk Weimar since 1999. The internationally acclaimed work is considered one of the most important examples of Holocaust-related contemporary art in Germany. In the 2024 theme year, the installation is open from Wed-Mon 11am-5pm.

    Future Memory - contemporary witnesses wanted

    September 2, 2024 marks the 20th anniversary of the fire at the Duchess Anna Amalia Library. To mark the anniversary, we are focusing on the very personal memories of contemporary witnesses in the form of videos, audio recordings and texts. At the same time, the reports represent the dawn of a new media collection landscape.
