Open Monument Day

Experience the castle and park in a playful way

On Open Monument Day, we invite you to discover the castle and park on the Ilm in a playful way!
Around the Co-Labor, you will find a toy box, classic croquet with exciting insights into the world of Weimar Classicism, a hands-on station, and table tennis—and if you like, you can take a break with cool drinks in a deck chair.

This is also the starting point for guided tours of the castle (already fully booked) and an exciting lecture followed by a guided tour of the park on the Ilm by Thomas Bleicher (Grüne Wahlverwandtschaften) on the topic of “Historical parks and gardens as part of urban design.”

Whether it's games, relaxation, or exciting insights—there's something for everyone!
