Choir culture meets residential landscape
The Jena Jubilee Singers perform with powerful voices and a rousing rhythm in a historic setting. With a mixture of traditional and modern gospels and spirituals, they bring Thuringian choral treasures to the Co-Labor. In front of the city palace, they will also delight audiences with compositions from jazz, rock, pop, and classical masterpieces.
The Thuringian Choral Treasures are entering their second round. From June 7 to 9, Thuringian castles and residences—including Altenburg Residential Palace, Friedenstein Gotha Castle, Wilhelmsburg Schmalkalden Castle, and many more—will open their halls and churches for concerts. Choirs from Thuringia, Saxony, Berlin, Trier, and beyond will participate in this decentralized cultural experience. Almost 1,000 singers from 43 choirs will fill the residence halls, festival halls, and palace churches with their voices.
