From 5 to 8 May 2022, we invite you to engage in conversation during our “Celebration of Language”. In debates, exhibitions, poetry readings and discussions, you will discover the sensual, political and always fascinating aspects of language.
Prominent guests will be on hand at the “Idea Lab” in the Book Cube of the Herzogin Anna Amalia Bibliothek where they will address such questions as: Who is allowed to speak? How can we speak? And when we express our opinions, how narrow is the path between “political correctness” and “hate speech”?
Experience the beauty and creativity of poetry at the “Conversation Lab” in front of the Weimar City Castle. There you can watch literary artists from the Weimar region go head-to-head at a poetry slam and witness the power of language to create new worlds at the Radio-Play Summer Festival.
